Senior Analyst Finance ERP

This position reports to the Manager of Internal Controls with primary responsibilities directed towards ERP support for all finance users.
Key responsibilities associated with this role rely on in depth knowledge and functional use of the ERP software relating to navigation and process flows of financial activities.
Ability to identify process improvements including automation opportunities.
The person in this role will be responsible to assist Finance users with account discrepancies, software access, software training, and connecting users with appropriate contacts.
In addition, this role will be expected to generate and provide resource tools and assist with ad hoc analysis activities; therefore, knowledge of data mining tools such as SQL a plus.
The person in this role will also be expected to support the creation and maintenance of issue resolution with vendor support and participate in special initiatives and projects.

Support Finance in its use and functionality of the ERP software, including related applications and third party integrations.

Support training efforts on knowledge and use of the ERP software.
3.
Assist in the guidance of the ERP software to Finance users through routine communication on software updates and software enhancement opportunities.

Act as liaison between the internal finance departments and internal and external customers 5.
Develops test scripts for finance and accounting processes, carries out testing and reports/tracks defects to support regular ERP updates.
6.
Responsible for supporting the overall finance and accounting ERP experience.
7.
Assist in the compilation of ad hoc analysis to explain close variances.
8.
Improve communication with various departments to promote a team environment and capitalize on synergies between General Accounting and all members across the Health System.
9.
Ensure adherence to internal controls over the month-end close process and other related finance processes.
10.
Work with management to identify and recommend solutions for control gaps and process inefficiencies.
11.
Support internal and external auditors during their reviews and prepare requested schedules as necessary, 12.
Provide exceptional customer service.
13.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications: EDUCATION Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Technology, Data Analytics or other related field.
EXPERIENCE Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in a variety of progressively responsible finance/accounting activities in a health care environment preferred, including general accounting, financial statement preparation, payroll and accounts payable systems and financial systems strongly preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Expert Excel skills, Strong SQL database skills, Strong Word and PowerPoint skills.
Lawson / Infor and other financial software experience preferred.
Ability to research and interpret accounting and health care industry standards.
Ability to work under broad directions; ability to project manage, motivate and lead.
