Reporting to the Credit Manager, the Credit Analyst has primary responsibility for the monitoring and maintenance of assigned accounts, including all administrative tasks that ensure timely and accurate collection of monies due to the company.
A Little About Your Day: You will:
Make contact through phone calls or e-mails with customer accounts that are more than ninety days past due from the invoice date.
Resolve any issues communicated by customers that are preventing payment.
Provide proof of delivery, packing slips, billing and pricing errors, or any other requests from the customer.
Arrange for payment schedules to collect funds on accounts in arrears.
Inform the Manager of the level of exposure over the credit line, including recommendations for credit holds.
Determine if products are being taxed properly and verify and rectify complaints regarding tax issues in a timely manner.
Work to achieve the DSO set by the company.
Attend semimonthly department meetings to review their accounts and make informed recommendations on accounts pending credit hold
Communicate effectively with sales staff any payment issues regarding customer accounts via pending credit hold notices.
Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments in the organization to facilitate the collection of past-due balances.

What You’ll Need to Have for success:
High School Diploma.
College Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field a plus.
5+ years in a corporate collections role.
