Job Summary:
As an Accountant at Wellinks you will assist in all phases of corporate accounting including but not limited to AP, AR, accruals, fixed assets, payroll, and the close process.
In this role you will also prepare financial reports to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
Responsibilities:
Ensure GAAP compliance and keep up to date on changes and requirements.
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
Facilitate payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
Administer payroll in conjunction with HR and external vendors.
Accurately perform reconciliations of cash, check, credit card, and inventory transactions.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly close process.
Assist with year end audit.
As the company grows, manage the AR accounting process.
Assist with the maintenance of Cap table management.
Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Strong understanding of and?the?ability to adhere to?generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Expertise with NetSuite.
Must be proficient in?Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with automated expense reporting and billing systems such as Bill.
com and Ramp
Be able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while still achieving deadlines.
Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with creative solutions.
Ability to handle sensitive information with honesty and integrity.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bachelor’s degree?in?accounting, or related field.
3-5 years’ experience working as an accountant in private or public setting.
