5 Work Week Standard (M-F equal number of hours per day) Work Location West Campus Worksite Address 400 C28 Admin West Campus Drive Orange, CT 06477 Work Model Remote Position Focus: The Program Manager will be responsible for oversight and coordination of all programmatic research science, management, financial and administrative support to the assigned project portfolio.
The individual will: Oversee staff and operations, and guide stakeholders in direct implementation of research program/s.
Serve as an information and knowledge resource on the project portfolio/s to both internal stakeholders as well as to project partners and funders as required.
Work closely with YSN colleagues and other relevant stakeholders to ensure efficient systems, processes and procedures are in place to effectively manage the portfolio.
Be responsible for all program management functions including managing the sub-awards, coordinating the consultants and vendors, supporting study data and human subject compliance, funder reporting, budget processing and managing staff.
Monitor project progress and compliance with internal YSN systems and policies, and ensure the portfolio remains in compliance with sponsor requirements, restrictions, and planned timelines.
Act as a main hub for all communication to and from the research site/s and ensures that all critical information reaches relevant stakeholders on a timely basis.
Support research analysis, and will channel required information, resources and technical assistance to principal investigators and partner organizations, as needed.
Encompass the overall responsibility for the development and implementation of strategies used in the conduct of research, the development and implementation of new research, in addition to the general management of a research program.
Be responsible for the financial management and day-to-day guidance and coordination of a research program.
Collect, analyze, visualize, and disseminate program and research data to a variety of audiences.
Report to the principal investigator and must be flexible to work beyond the job description at times as work occasionally demands.

The role will involve domestic and international travel.

Essential Duties 1.
Oversees the advancement and growth of the program.
Gives direction and leadership supporting the philosophy, mission, strategy, and annual goals and objectives.
Assumes primary accountability for disseminating and publishing all program information to create public awareness and support of the program.

Works closely with leadership, internal and external colleagues, and community residents to further develop and implement strategic plans.
3.
Identifies, solicits, and cultivates community partnerships and collaborations to assist in the development and growth of the program.
Develops the metrics to identify and measure the success of the program.
Responsible for measurements of grant success and related evaluation.

Assists in identifying and evaluating potential future funding sources, and contributes to the submission of grants and contracts supporting the program, including the annual submission and writing of all content areas and budgetary sections of grant applications.
Develops and manages the program’s operating budget.
5.
Develops the administrative infrastructure of the program.
Manages human resource and administrative functions of the program, including staffing and hiring, supervision, performance development, counseling and discipline, if warranted.
Oversees and manages information systems, facilities, and space needs.

Investigates, identifies, implements, and oversees the maintenance of systems to gather, track, and report information to support the initiatives of the program.
Tracks all program activities and regularly informs leadership of progress on each initiative.
Recommends structural or programmatic adjustments, changes or additions based on full knowledge of missions, goals, and objectives.

Initiates, designs, and manages the compilation of program communications; identifying outreach potential, and promoting philanthropic and collaborative support of the program.
Contributes to the development and assists in the management of content on the program’s website and monitors all changes and additions to the editorial content.
8.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skill/Ability 1: Enjoy working in a team-based environment as well as independently and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Required Skill/Ability 2: Superior problem-solving and planning skills with ability to prioritize; well organized and detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
Required Skill/Ability 3: Flexibility and ability to work well under pressure and proactively in a multiple time zone and multi-cultural team environment.
Ability to travel both internationally and domestically.
Flexible hours required during some work or travel days.
Required Skill/Ability 4: Ability to be sensitive to issues of confidentiality and related concerns when working with older adults and people living with dementia, and able to strictly comply with Human Subjects, HIPAA, and other required protections for study participants.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: A strong and active propensity for research productivity as evidenced by publishing peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts within the past 1 year, preferably experience as lead author.
