- Coordinator of Community Supports YAS OVERVIEW Under the direction of the DRS management team, the Coordinator’s priority is to assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the DMHAS Community Support Services and Sites.
The Coordinator is an integral member of the treatment/recovery team, who carries out recommendations for clinical supports, community living skill building and daily living support to individuals.
Administration and supervision is fifty percent of this position, and fifty percent is dedicated to providing Case Management services.
DUTIES The Coordinator will supervise the Chill Zone drop in center as needed.
This Coordinator will assist with the development and implementation of recovery-oriented, trauma informed programming and plans for this population of DRS people we support in order to provide a seamless delivery of service.
The Coordinator will assist with the creation, overseeing and development of case management services for community services.
This position coordinates and supervises the case management support services and para-professional staff who provide case management, direct care and teach the daily living (LIST) and community integration skills to supported individuals.
The Coordinator will assist with administrative, HR, payroll, hiring, and staff supervisory duties to ensure that all staff are trained and practicing the ARC trauma-informed approach as well as trained in and following all Marrakech policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS • Valid Connecticut Driver’s License • Bachelors’ Degree in a related field (with relevant classroom and internship experience).
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least two years of demonstrable, relevant experience in a residential or community setting with clinical experience carrying out treatment plans in residential or other community settings.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
Familiar with and completion of ARC trauma informed practices curriculum.
