Mid-sized law firm in New Haven and Fairfield County seeking an associate attorney with 5-7 years of experience for general practice areas including litigation, land use, real estate and/or trust and estates work.
Duties shall include:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on various legal matters
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal matters
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.
D.
) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of work and meet deadlines
- Experience in the specific practice area is preferred but not required
