The Role As the Artist Instructor, you are a key part in creating a premiere paint and sip experience.
You’ll be the lead entertainer for sessions, providing step by step painting instruction.
You’ll also enjoy a variety of responsibilities that extend beyond artistry, including food and beverage preparation and service as well as direct customer support and assistance.
The Artist Instructor ensures that each customer leaves with both a beautiful masterpiece and unforgettable memories.
Key Responsibilities Replicate Muse paintings in line with policy and procedure, ensuring the approved master painting is set up above the stage prior to the session.
Break down paintings using provided templates to prepare for leading sessions, ensuring simple and effective instruction.
Provide step-by-step painting instruction, engaging with the customers, and managing time effectively to stay within the allocated session time.
Prepare for upcoming sessions by printing session lists, assigning group seating, and organizing paint palettes.
Greet customers upon arrival, showing them their seat, aprons, and explaining the food and beverage QR menu.
Offer direct assistance to customers, engaging with the crowd, and offering support and encouragement throughout the session.
Act as the host of the session, making announcements on stage and fostering an energetic and entertaining atmosphere.
Take photos of the session and upload them to Google Photos before closing.
Serve as a cashier, bartender, and server, providing food and beverage service, including alcoholic beverages, at bar and tableside.
Provide exceptional customer service, making informed recommendations on food and beverage offerings, including alcoholic beverages to drive revenue and customer satisfaction.
Participate in cook shifts, preparing food orders with a focus on high quality and presentation.
Adhere to kitchen safety protocol, ensuring guidelines are consistently met.
Monitor refrigerator and freezer temperatures, maintaining accurate logs, and reporting any changes in the safe zone to the Store Manager.
Follow cleaning checklists and support the session breakdown process by emptying trash bins, cleaning brushes, hanging up aprons, and ensuring the studio is primed for the following session.
Travel to and participate in off-site events, creating a unique and memorable experience upholding Muse standards and brand.
Attend team meetings in person or virtually, engaging with the Store Manager, Regional Manager and other members of the Leadership team.
Remain flexible and willing to share responsibilities with the team to provide the best customer experience possible.
Shift Requirements Part-time availability, averaging 15-25 hours per week.
Minimum availability of 4 full weekend days per month.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Punctuality: Be a reliable and punctual team member, ensuring the timely arrivals for shifts and smooth execution of sessions.
Communication Mastery: Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, effectively conveying artistic concepts and assisting customers.
Sales and Customer Service Excellence: Excel in sales and customer service, creating a positive experience for customers and promoting Muse Paintbar's products and services.
Market and Brand Understanding: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Muse Paintbar's products and services, as well as those of immediate competitors in the local market.
Tech-Savviness: Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, and general technology, including printers, microphones, and speakers, ensuring seamless session operation.
Transportation: Possess reliable transportation, as well as a willingness to travel to when required, up to 20% each week.
Flexible Availability: Ability to work varied hours and a minimum of 4 full weekend days per month.
Experience and Education Must be 21 years or older.
Must possess a minimum of 2 years of hands-on painting experience, with proven creative skills.
Familiarity and experience with acrylic medium preferred.
Prior work experience in a bar or restaurant setting is strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education, Studio Art, or Fine Art is preferred.
Previous experience in teaching art, particularly in group settings, preferred.
Alcohol Safety/TIPS Certification - Muse will provide the necessary training if needed.
ServSafe Certification - Muse will provide the necessary training if needed.
Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, bend, reach, climb.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
