New Haven Academy of Performing Arts ( CT's Multi - Award Winning Performing Arts Academy) is seeking individuals who are passionate about working with children, teens, adults and providing quality instruction in the arts.
We are looking for Voice and Piano instructors who are able to teach our students in a fun, engaging, and supportive manner
The school is open Monday-Saturday, with the majority of lessons taking place in-person, although some virtual teaching may also be required.

Front desk administrators take care of all of the inquiries, registration, billing and customer service, so all you have to do is show up and teach!
We also host many performance opportunities throughout the year for our students and staff in our brand new state of the art theater.
Applicants with a college degree in music performance or education are preferred but not required .
Previous teaching experience is required.
Ability to teach other instruments is ideal but not required.

Responsibilities:
- Provide guitar instruction to students of various ages and skill levels
- Develop and implement lesson plans based on individual student needs and goals
- Teach proper techniques, including finger placement, strumming, and picking
- Help students learn to read sheet music and guitar tablature
- Assist students in selecting appropriate repertoire for practice and performance
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback and guidance for improvement
- Lead and participate in activities and showcases with students
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
- Proficiency in playing the guitar with a strong knowledge of music theory
- Prior teaching experience of two years or more
- Experience teaching guitar lessons to students of different ages and skill levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students and parents/guardians
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Strong organizational skills for lesson planning and scheduling
- Patience and enthusiasm for teaching and helping students achieve their musical goals
PLEASE NOTE: Ability to teach additional instruments to an intermediate or higher level is a major plus.

Pay: $25.
