Lower School Head Teacher
School Year 2024-2025
The Foote School seeks a talented, energetic individual to join its faculty as a full-time lower school head teacher.
The successful candidate will be a nurturing, adaptable person who understands the developmental and cognitive needs of young children and who can teach collaboratively in a creative, cooperative environment.
In addition, he or she will have a commitment to our school’s mission and an interest in being involved in our community through participation in school-wide committees and activities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree strongly preferred
Minimum 3 years head teaching experience
Experience with project-based and hands-on learning
Demonstrated experience in differentiating instruction
Effective oral and written communication skills
Proficient at designing and using assessments to guide instruction
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and innovation
Commitment to best practice as it relates to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Skills needed to mentor and supervise an associate teacher
